January 10, 2012 David A. Armstrong, who recently made the move from cinematographer (Saw) to director (the indie hostage drama Pawn), has signed on to direct an adaptation of Crawl to Me, an offbeat horror comic written by Life of Agony bass player Alan Robert and published by IDW Publishing. The comic tells the story of a young couple who move into their first home only to become aware of a very disturbing presence in the house where they find half-eaten animals and other remains in the basement crawlspace.
Variety reports that Robert is producing along with Jeff Mazzola and Chris White. The producers are currently searching for a writer to adapt the comic book miniseries.
